About Ponderosa Plastics Equipment

A regional resource for plastics processors looking for practical solutions, for process improvement.

Founded in Utah in 2013, we work with plastics processors throughout the Mountain West — including Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada — to help evaluate, specify, and implement equipment and systems that support real production needs. That includes material handling, drying, blending, cooling, and recycling — and more importantly, how those systems work together in practice.

Our team supports manufacturers across the region by helping plant teams sort through process requirements, equipment options, and system fit before moving forward.

How We Work

Our goal is not to present a single line of equipment. We focus on understanding the process, identifying where improvements can be made, and recommending solutions that fit the way your operation actually runs.

That often means looking beyond one machine or component. Material flow, moisture control, temperature stability, blending accuracy, and scrap handling all affect one another. Taking that broader view helps you make better decisions and avoid solutions that look right on paper but do not hold up in production.

We work with multiple manufacturers so recommendations can be matched to the application — not forced into a single product line.

Regional Support with Process Perspective

Our team works directly with buyers, plant managers, engineers, and production teams to evaluate systems in the context of real plant conditions — layout, throughput, material behavior, and performance goals.

The result is a more practical approach to equipment selection — one that is grounded in the process, informed by experience, and focused on long-term fit rather than short-term product matching.
